Greg Cross

Principal

Greg joined SDA in 2001, bringing a depth of experience in design and construction, including two years as a framing carpenter.  As a Principal, he fosters the firm’s strategic goals with an equal focus on design and management, fusing creativity with practicality from individual projects to overall firm operations.

Greg’s experience ranges from multi-acre site planning to multi-family housing to university buildings, including a wide variety of adaptive re-use projects.  To his passion for both the big picture and the detail, he adds humor and an exceptional talent for organization.

Greg holds a BA in English and a Masters in Architecture, both from the University of Florida, where he was also a Visiting Professor.  He is an active member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), American Institute of Architects (AIA), and a LEED-Accredited Professional.  He lives in Atlanta’s Grant Park neighborhood with his wife and two daughters, where he can often be found procrastinating repairs on his 100-year old house and 50-year old project car.
