Jennifer Hsiaw

Project Architect

A California native by way of Virginia, Jennifer is excited to be living and practicing in the urban forest of Atlanta. Unexpectedly, her first foray into architecture academically occurred in high school English class, when she escalated a magazine article about the UK’s first major net-zero housing development into a semester-long research project on sustainability in building. This instilled an early interest in systems both within and beyond buildings that has carried through her architectural studies and practice ever since. With a background in both structural engineering and architecture, Jennifer strives to integrate material performance with material beauty to create spaces that are mindful both environmentally and culturally. She brings experience with mass timber commercial office projects in California and Virginia and is eager to embrace the rich material history of Atlanta.

One of her favorite aspects of the architecture field is the endless avenues for learning and growth. As an instructor at architecture schools throughout her early career, Jennifer has yet to escape the school studio and considers her students to be among her best teachers.
